RUF Midsouth Campus Ministers

Dawson Bean

Dawson Bean (University of Tennessee – Martin) is a native of Texas and a graduate of Texas Tech. He worked with Campus Crusade for Christ at LSU and then studied at Covenant Seminary in Saint Louis, where he was a pastoral intern at the Kirk of the Hills PCA. He enjoys hunting, fishing and reading. He is married to Shanna and they have three children. 

 

 

Trey Bundrick (University of Arkansas) grew up in Huntsville, AL before attending Ole Miss where he was converted under the ministry of Reformed University Fellowship. He interned with RUF at the University of Alabama for three years, and then went to Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, graduating with his M.Div. in May of 2012. He and his wife Mary Grace met during his time at RTS and got married in December of 2010. He enjoys reading, rock climbing, cycling, and, most recently, riding his motorcycle.

 

 

Andrew Flatgard

Andrew Flatgard (Rhodes College) is a graduate of Ole Miss and Covenant Theological Seminary. He was pastor for college mistry at Kirk of the Hills PCA (St. Louis). He also served RUF at the University of Memphis before founding the current ministry at Rhodes College. Andrew is married to Shelley (a former RUF intern) and they have one daughter.

Jeff Jordan (Mississippi College) graduated from Mississippi State University in 2001 with a bachelor's in English, and from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2006 with a master's of Divinity.  While Jeff was in seminary, he worked as an RUF intern at MC.  Following seminary, Jeff served as the RUF campus minister at the University of Texas at Tyler for 6 years. His wife, Dominique, is a native Texan and a graduate of Southern Methodist University.  They have four children: Jeffrey, Wells, Henry, and Caroline.

 
Johnathan Keenan (University of Memphis) is an Ole Miss graduate, where he was involved with RUF under Les Newsom. He studied under Dr. Douglas Kelly at RTS Charlotte before pursing his MTh in Scottish Theology under Professor Donald Macleod. While pursuing his MTh, Johnathan was active in the Free Church of Scotland.
 
 
 
Elbert McGowan (Jackson State University) is a Jackson native and an Alabama A&M graduate (Mechanical Engineering). He worked as an aircraft engineer with GE. Elbert studied at RTS and interned at Redeemer Church in outreach. While at RTS, Bebo Elkin influenced him to begin the now thriving work at JSU - RUF's first work at an Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Elbert is married to Karen and they have two children.
 
 
 
Chad Scott (Belhaven University) is from Clinton, MS and graduated from Belhaven University. Before seminary, Chad worked as an account manager for Hunt Brothers, Inc. While attending RTS Jackson, he was an intern at Carthage Presbyterian Church. Chad was campus minister at Hinds Community College from 2008-2011. He is married to Kelly, and they have three children.
 
 
 
 
Ben Shaw (University of Southern Mississippi) is a graduate of Ole Miss and RTS Jackson. While at RTS, Ben was heavily influenced by RUM co-founder Bebo Elkin. Prior to coming to Southern Miss, Ben worked in the Youth Ministry of First Presbyterian Church, Jackson. He is married to Marianna Breazeale Shaw.
 
 
 
Brian Sorgenfrei (Mississippi State University) is an Ole Miss and RTS graduate, and was an RUF intern at Auburn University. While in seminary, Brian served as the college ministry coordinator at First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, and served on the campus of Millsaps College in Jackson. Brian is married to Liza and they have two daughters.
 
 
 
Jason Sterling (University of Mississippi) comes to RUF Midsouth from his alma mater, Samford University, where he was RUF campus minister. After college, Sterling worked in pharmaceutical sales. He graduated from RTS Orlando and was an intern at St. Paul’s PCA. He is married to Susie, they have four daughters.

Seth Still (Delta State University) is a Mississippi Native (Senatobia). He was converted during his time at Mississppi State through the ministry of RUF. After college, he worked as a school teacher, baseball coach, and real estate appraiser. He attended RTS and served as RUF intern at Belhaven. He is married to Julie and they have two boys and are expecting a girl in October.
